Trunks gave Ryo a slap on the back a little harder than intended not realizing that he did. "Im pretty sure if either one of us thought that was going to happen we wouldnt have brought you back here" Trunks said motioning toward his mom "Surely you would rather be here than out on a park bench right?" Trunks was confused by what Ryo said about he doesnt belong here. It was weird that Ryo would say that he should be welcoming shelter even if its only for a while its better than being out in the open right?

Memories Take Me Away Her words had clearly not comforted him in the least and she frowned to her self leaning away and putting her hands on her hips. He was adamant about not staying here it seemed, or eating dinner with them for that matter. His statement softened her gaze but she kept it stern shaking her head at him immediately. He didn't belong? She had all kinds of people here that would't look like they'd belong, what was another, especially one as well mannered and meek as this boy? He flinched visibly but for no reason that she could tell despite something that he had been thinking perhaps and it softened her further, there was something eating at this boy terribly.
She raised an eyebrow at him and leaned forward hands on hips as before. "If you were imposing or disrupting anything I would not have brought you home in the first place. So stay and eat with us, we have extra rooms to spare so you can stay here for the night. Park benches are no place for a boy to get proper rest" she was using that no nonsense tone she used on her children. If she was being truthful though it was the same tone she used on anyone or anything she deemed needed a little pushy incentive to do what she wanted them to. Trunks was reinforcing what she was saying so she felt confident enough to continue and even shut the door behind the boys to show she meant what she was saying about him staying right now.
"If you are scared of Vegeta don't be, he's harmless when I need him to be" she reassured the boy. She knew her husband wasn't the easiest to get along with but he wasn't as bad as everyone thought, sure he blew up a lot but it was usually for the right reasons. When it was for the wrong ones, well, he apologized in his own time but her cold shoulder was getting rusty anyways. She turned and headed towards the kitchen her heels clicking on the tile, "I am going to start dinner Trunks, help Ryo find what he needs and then bring him along" she instructed over her shoulder. In truth she was setting her son on one path, baby sitting, not that it should be new to him he did have a younger sibling after all.
Her mind finally drifted towards what to make for dinner, with Trunks and Vegeta in the house she always had to make a lot of whatever it was that she made. Now she would have to compensate for another Saiyan, or part Saiyan guest, she had a lot of work to do but first to change. She headed towards her bedroom hastily and made a quick change to a pair of light blue cotton shorts and a simple white t-shirt, not the most fashionable but no one said she had to be fashionable all day now did they? She was quick back to the kitchen, silent with bare feet, her mind already made up on making something with variety for the night. She didn't know what their guest liked after all but she'd make sure it was one of the best things he'd ever tasted. "Hmph" she nodded her head in silent agreement with herself and set to work.

Ryo shivered. He yelped to the smack to his back by Trunks, stepping forward and catching himself with one of his legs. One of his hands went into the front pocket of his hoodie, latching on to that tiny metal pill that contained the time machine that he pilfered within it. If they found him with this pill he'd be behind bars quicker than any stereotypical Western Badguy. Prison wasn't something he wanted to think about, especially for something that he might have committed against his own family. "...Actually I've been sleeping out on park benches for the past week... People tend to leave me alone and not having a roof makes for great stargazing..." he said. It seemed that they weren't intending on letting him leave, so he was stuck there and his anxiety was ebbed.
There wasn't a point in fighting further against them, they made up their minds about keeping him there, at least for the night. After that it was the safety of the park benches once again, he supposed. Having his own room was at least comforting. His tail went limp as he made a backward glance to Trunks, waiting for him to lead the way.

"Oh Come on, could one night really hurt? Besides, I would be surprised if you tell me that you prefer a park bench over a bed." Said Trunks starting to walk down the hallways over capsule corp. "Oh and besides your safer here than almost anywhere else you've ever been." Trunks saw Ryo move his hand into his hoodie pocket but knew it wouldnt help if he tried to figure out what it was and would most likely make things worse. Trunks would have let Ryo leave if Bulma wouldn't have killed him for it. "I'm sure you could still stargaze if you wanted." Trunks couldnt help but try to be as helpful as he could Ryo basically had his choices taken away from him as soon as his mom decided to investigate, even if Trunks wasn't there he had a feeling Ryo would be in the same position at the moment.

Memories Take Me Away The boys hadn't been gone too terribly long but still she was already wondering where they were. Most of the food was done, she just had the vegetables to finish up and she'd set the table already. Bulla was spending the night with a friend of hers so she had only set it for four, their usual number with Ryo taking Bulla's place for now. She dipped the silver spoon in the pot of vegetables and gave them a last finishing stir before pulling them from the heated stove top and setting them aside to cool. Her next venture wasn't something she was looking forward to with a guest in the house, it took more than just a few words to pull her husband from that training chamber of his. However with the promise of food she hoped that it wouldn't be too difficult this time.
As much as she didn't act it she'd missed her husband today, and it was high time she saw him. She slipped out into the wide entrance hall and went straight for the stairs, he was most likely in the upstairs chamber instead of the outside one that they normally kept in a capsule. She sighed at the amount of stairs she had to climb but she could use the tonight to her thighs and calves, she had to keep herself beautiful now didn't she? Her feet made barely any noise on the tiled stairs, only the puffing of her breath really broke the silence as she ran up as many as she could before tiring and slowing to a walk. Next time she was using the elevator. The sight of the door ahead cheered her and she made it before halting and laying her hand on the latch softly before creaking it open just a touch.
She peeked in and smiled at the sight of the back of her husband, he was of course training as usual. He might have been at it all day for all she knew, it felt unusual to not know what he had been up to that day but she could guess easily enough. She spent a few minutes in silence simply watching him before pushing the door father open and leaning against the door frame. A smile was on her face and she crossed her arms loosely across her chest. "Vegeta" she called out to him and fixed a steady gaze on his face when and if he turned to face her finally. "Dinner is ready and you are coming down on time this time, we have a guest." Her voice tightened slightly on the word guest and she hoped it didn't alarm him for Ryo's sake. Vegeta wasn't known for his patience or his kindness.
Now that she was actually looking at her husband the resemblance was plain and stronger than when she had just looked at Ryo before. She felt herself shake inside but pushed it down, she was strong, she could get to the bottom of this and whatever it was she would handle it. "I think you'll want to meet him," she said and turned starting to head back down the stairs but paused with one foot on the step. "I missed you today. Don't keep us waiting" she added firmly and smiled over her shoulder at him before heading down the stairs again. Hopefully the promise of food and the guest would tempt him down to the kitchen on time, she would have liked to think he had missed her too and seeing her would have brought him down as well.
Her jaunt down the stairs took less time than her walk up them and she was back in the kitchen in no time. Her peeked into the hall when no one appeared and frowned, they weren't skipping out on her were they? Trunks had better not have let Ryo leave, she'd be disappointed if he had. "Trunks, Ryo! Dinner!" she called sharply into the silence, if they were on the first floor they'd hear her but if they were upstairs she'd have a harder time finding them. Capsule Corp. wasn't exactly small. The Saiya-jin Prince had no knowledge of the goings on outside of the gravity chamber. He had been spending the whole day training, since early morning, as he had most days. Though it was no longer his life's ambition to prove he was superior to his rival, Goku, he had no desire to be anything but a warrior, and so continued to push himself beyond all limitations of his body, quite often breaking it in the process. The world may be safe but that was no reason to slack off in his opinion.
Trunks, his teenage son, was supposed to have spent at least five hours in the chamber training with him today but it seemed he had found something more entertaining to keep his attention again. "There was a time when he would beg to train with me," he said softly aloud, taking a brief moment to reminisce before getting back to work. "If it wasn't for Bulma I would force him to train until he couldn't even stand up. For a Saiya-jin prince to have a son as weak as Kakarot's is embarrassing." He grumbled to himself and shifted his position before launching into the air to begin ricocheting off the walls and ceiling like a pinball caught in the bumpers.
A heavy layer of sweat coated Vegeta thoroughly, his breath was deep and slow and his body ached all over. He paused his training as he sensed someone approaching. "Bulma," he said aloud before continuing his session, ignoring her as she watched him and eventually entered the room. At his name being called he stopped and turned toward her, an irritated expression already on his face. He listened as she spoke to him, feeling his stomach grumble silently as dinner was mentioned, his expression shifting from irritated to agitated at the mention of a guest. 'Whoever it is must be important if she is bothering to mention it to me. She'll be expecting me to "behave" no doubt.'
Long ago had he learned to read his wife, her expressions and her body language. And not being in a particularly argumentative mood he simply said in a rather annoyed voice, "Yes I'll be down on time." An inquisitive look came upon his face when it she said he would want to meet this guest, but to his own recollection there was no one on Earth he wanted to meet. Ever. "Wait Bulma!" he cried out after her, but she was already gone and the door closed behind her. For a moment he stood and contemplated her words silently, but could not determine who she was talking about. So having been told not to keep her waiting he walked to the center of the room and shut down the gravity generator. The hum of the machine and the red light it produced while active faded and the rooms lighting returned to normal.
He grabbed a towel from a stack by the door and draped it around his neck, then headed to their bedroom bathroom to quickly shower and get changed into something that didn't smell like it hadn't been washed in a decade. In only ten minutes since Bulma had left him, Vegeta was clean, changed and on his way downstairs. His hair wasn't completely dry, so as he descended the steps he was busy rubbing his hair with a small towel. He made his way into the kitchen to find Bulma wondering where everyone was, still working on his hair. "Hey, what did you mean when you said I would want to meet this "guest". Who were you talking about?" There was a subtle annoyance in his voice, but it was clear he was going to make an effort to keep it under control for her.

Trunks and Ryo had settled, though there wasn't much for Ryo to settle in his temporary abode. All he had to set down was his guitar and sweatshirt, which jingled with the money he had made whenever he moved it and jarred the coins around. He set it on the bed, and stood in just a tank-top, shorts and slippers. His arms were littered with tattoos and when he looked at his ink, he winced a little. Definitely not a very good impression. He was surprised that Bulma didn't raise an eyebrow to it... perhaps she wasn't affected by things like that... But who knew if this Vegeta would mind or not.
When the two returned after Bulma's call, Ryo stayed a little behind Trunks, his tail going stiff before coiling up tightly in anxiety. The man looked just like him. At least in the hair, though Ryo's flared out more in the back rather than following up into a point. He paled a little. The guy was buff, but tailless. Aside from the similarities in the hair, he and Ryo could very well not be related. Perhaps Ryo was the sole survivor of some tailed people that weren't Saiyans. He remained quiet, not sure of what to do or say, with the exception of sneaking out, but that would have been easily thwarted by any of these three.

"Hello father." Trunks said trying to keep Ryo out of the spotlight as long as possible he could only imagine being one of the only saiyans left with a tail and being in the same room as yet another one of the surviving members of your race that doesnt have a tail, Trunks could only imagine how nerv wrecking this had to be for Ryo. Trunks figured that Ryo wouldnt remember to keep his Tail around his waist but didnt check to make sure just whispered to Ryo "Keep your tail around your waist." Trunks then slowly started to walk forward it was going to happen sooner or later and Trunks figured the sooner Ryo met Vegeta meant the sooner he feels less nerverous thought Trunks although Trunks also knew that could be wrong and it could mean the sooner Ryo tries to leave he would just have to wait to see what happened.

Memories Take Me Away She had not but just pulled her head back in the door of the kitchen when Vegeta came strolling in. His hair was damp, that she could tell from the way he was rubbing it with a towel, and he had on fresh clothes. To say she was pleased was an understatement, he had actually cleaned up and made it on time to dinner. His question was the first thing out of his mouth and her smile crimped slightly but she was used to the sound of annoyance in his tone. Vegeta wasn't a particularly loving individual but that was something she had adjusted to over the years. She came over to him slipping on a pair of slip on flats and kissed him on the cheek lightly in greeting and to show she was pleased with him. His tone was not as annoyed as it normally sounded and it looked like he was attempting to behave for her sake. That was like saying I love you in Vegeta's terms.
"Our guest is a boy, a Saiyan or part Saiyan, I'm not quite sure but he does have a tail" she said her brow furrowing. She'd keep the fact that he looked similar to Vegeta to herself for now, she wanted to see the initial reaction her husband had to the boy first. If he though she suspected nothing then he might give himself away, if he knew he'd be more careful, then again he was always careful. She opened her mouth to say more but closed it when she heard Trunks speak up behind her, no doubt Ryo was close behind. She gave Vegeta a look that clearly told him to behave before she turned to the boys with a smile. Trunks looked nervous but not as nervous or pale as Ryo who skulked behind him as though afraid to come into the light. She felt her smile slip a little and she moved over to the door shooing the boys into the large kitchen and towards the table she had set.
"Food is ready boys" she said softer this time before fetching some of the food and putting it out on the table. She paused long enough to motion to her husband, "Ryo, this is my husband Vegeta, and Vegeta this is Ryo" her tone was calm when she introduced them but really she was anything but. To tell the truth she herself was nervous as to how her husband would react to this boy, it was hard to tell sometimes with Vegeta. She was moving food but at the same time her eyes were flickering back and forth between Ryo and Vegeta curiously and cautiously. She could step in and hope to curb any fight that broke out but only if it was verbal, she was aware that she could never stop her husband physically if he didn't feel like listening to her. Still working at getting his hair dry Vegeta walked across the kitchen and made his way to the fridge, opening the door to get something cold and refreshing to drink. He let the towel rest around his neck as he grabbed one of the various cans and closed the door, turning around to face Bulma as she slipped over to him and placed her soft and warm lips on his cheek. A warmth spread through him like wild fire as her lips pressed against his flesh, working to push away the annoyance and anger and leaving him to feel rather good if but for a moment. There was no one but the two of them in the room so he risked a small smile for his wife while his eyes reflected a small glimmer of happiness within.
Eyes widened as Bulma revealed that their guest had something in common with Vegeta, or perhaps more appropriately with Trunks and Bulla, his grip on the can he held tightening just enough to deeply imprint his fingers but not enough to burst it. "A Saiya-jin? Did Kakarot have another child or something?" His voice was soft and surprisingly kind, but somewhat disinterested in the news which she presented. At the moment he was focusing his attention on her. Never admitting it out loud, he did miss his wife quite often, especially her nagging bossy attitude. He respected her more than anyone, she was one of the few that constantly stood up to him without fear and one of the fewer still who truly understood. Bulma had a warriors heart despite being physically weak.
At the sound of Trunks' voice the moment between them faded and his mild annoyance returned. Vegeta's eyes moved to his son and the smile that lingered for a moment longer vanished when he stepped around Bulma and into plain sight. "And just where have you been? You were supposed to be training with me today. Your slacking off is really unacceptable Trunks. Do you really like being as weak as Kakarot's son?" He pulled the tab on his can and lifted it to his lips, drinking the cool liquid within greedily, downing over half the can in only a few seconds. Letting out a deep breath of satisfaction Vegeta noticed Trunks whispering to someone. It must have been the guest Bulma mentioned. The other came into view and Vegeta gave him the thousand yard stare, measuring the boy up. Practically growling he looked to Bulma with obvious anger. "Is this some kind of joke woman?"

This was going exactly the way Ryo imagined it, only for the moment, there was no fire torching his skin or bullets putting holes in his torso. Of course, that didn't mean neither of those things would happen at all in the very near future. The compact man could still take off his head, and easily by the looks of it. Ryo could only hope in the back of his mind that if Vegeta did decide to kill him then and there, that it'd be quick and somewhat painless. Whatever he did and how he chose to do it, Ryo didn't want to walk away from it. As far as greetings went, it was safe to say that nothing was going to be given out, and for Ryo to put out his hand like everything was peachy keen would have been suicide--and detrimental to the health of his hand and possibly his arm.
But being put on the spot made it difficult to remain an unimportant shadow, which was what Ryo would have preferred despite the urgent need for introductions. The look on the man's face froze Ryo's insides in a moment of uncertainty. Not that he was a master at reading people, but this was a look that he was unaccustomed to, and quite frankly, not comfortable with. He took a small step back, unable to concentrate on Trunks' advice to wrap his tail around his waist--which actually, he couldn't even manage, the anxiety making it difficult for him to even keep it from twisting and coiling painfully behind him. The pain wasn't even enough to work as a distraction, and Bulma's calm introduction didn't help to ease the tension.
An icy pang engulfed Ryo's diaphragm to Vegeta's words on the matter--on him. How was this a joke? The anger on his face was telling and Ryo could have said he predicted it. But as of then, he was too frightened to even react. He knew this was a mistake, but by looks of the man's reaction, there was obviously something very wrong. If it wasn't a big deal, then the reaction wouldn't have been so hostile. Would it? Perhaps this guy is just mad their hair was the same. He could have worked damn hard to get his hair the way it was, and here comes Ryo, the little bastard, with his do exactly the same way, save for a patch of bangs hanging over his left eye.
Needless to say, Ryo's face only paled and his terror only became more evident in his features. All this talk of this man being harmless, safe and generally not scary was all a lie. This man had to be one of the most frightening things Ryo had ever seen.

"I was doing something important, Ill make up for the training with you tommorow if you would like me to." Trunks didnt want to go into detail of what the day had held for them, It was a long eventful day. Trunks saw his fathers stare going straight past him and onto Ryo, Trunks knew without even looking that Ryo would most likely have been pretty much frozen and probably have either made him unable to take his advice about his tail being around his waist or he would have forgotten it, Trunks could only hope him offering to train tommorow would distract his father for even the slightest moment so Ryo could calm down a little. Trunks honestly wouldnt blame Ryo if he tried to run right now, who really could? Would he get far most likely not, could he try? of course he could.
