A sweet smile graced the young womans face as she weaved in and out of tables her steps bouncy and her attitude obviously cheerful. She got to since tonight and that was making her even happier than normal, sometimes her singing made her tips but not always, it really depended on the crowd that was in that night. She had seen a few of her regulars around however so she was hopeful, before too long she might even have enough money to get her off the street for a while. If she could get her hands on a Capsule House then she was certain she'd be all right but those were very expensive and she only had a little over half of what she needed now. She quickly sat down the drinks ordered by a couple ordered near the door and twirled enthusiastically away practicing her moves she planned a little bit.
She was nervous that was for sure but this came like second nature to her. At a quick motion from the bar owner she was headed his way with her empty tray and a curious look in her big blue eyes. He was smiling at the woman as she approached, he'd take a liking to the girl in a fatherly sort of way and made it a point to be nice to her when they spoke. "Ahh Lulu, there's my girl" he said when she appeared and she smiled in return, "are you ready to sing? We were thinking about putting you on after this last few songs we have" his mustache twitched while he spoke garnering her attention for a moment before she snapped back. Stop being so distracted Lulu, she felt herself scolding although the voice that always scolded her seemed somehow much more wise than her own and deeper pitched but still feminine.
"Of course I'm ready, I actually can't wait. I've been looking forward to it all night" she nodded enthusiastically and clenched the serving tray in front of her with both hands. The older man chuckled at her "Good, good well then go get ready and we'll put you on he urged taking the tray from her before she slipped past him and towards the employee locker rooms. She wouldn't be able to change but at least she could fix her hair a little bit as well as make sure she was clean for her performance.
-----
Nerves made her mouth feel dry as she stood to the side of the stage staring up at the microphone. Her manager had already announced her of course and her heels clicked as she made herself ascend the stairs. The regulars that knew her and her singing cheered her on with whistles and whoops while the new comers simply stared at her. A flush crept up her neck and onto her cheeks as she drew closer, in what seemed like a million years she reached the microphone and drew it to her lips. "H-Hello, everyone" she muttered unsure of what to say "I'll be singing a song called Miracle Paint for you tonight" she continued her voice magnified. However somewhere inside of her a wellspring of courage flooded her and she smiled like she normally would rubbing the back of her head. "I'm sorry I'm kind of nervous but I'll do my best, ok?" she asked cheerfully not really expecting an answer.
Before anyone could answer her the music started and she felt her fear and nerves leave her. This is where she belonged singing and dancing her heart out, why had she even been worried. Her voice and her body did the work for her as she moved to the upbeat jazz like song with a smile on her face and in her eyes. This was what she enjoyed most, perhaps what she had been built for if she remembered correctly. She made sure to watch the faces out in the crowd for their enjoyment or otherwise but from what she could see not to many people didn't like it. The song ended far faster than she would have liked and she bowed politely with an embarrassed blush and grin. She tapped her way quickly down the stairs and headed towards the bar, she needed something to drink after that for sure.

Goku sat at a table, chowing down on a huge order. There was many burgersq. So wings, chicken tenders, vegetables, fruits, pastas, the works. Hey, a Saiyan's gotta eat! He apparently was either extremely hungry or had the worst manners ever, for he devoured the food.
He smiled as he chowed, listening to the girl sing. "Mwow...meh me mamminm!!!" Goku mean to say she was amazing, but he mouth was stuffed.

Vegeta looked over at Goku in complete disgust and grumbled to himself. Then he decided to make his thoughts heard, "You are so disgusting when you eat Kakarot! It is so embarrassing to be seen with you, but never as much as when you eat." Though he gorged himself as much as the other, he was far more pleasant about it, showing that he at least had manners. Plate after plate, bowl after bowl, the Saiya-jin ate at a absurd amount at an astonishing rate. The people around their table stared in awe both Goku and Vegeta consumed more than most people would in a month.
It was hard to hear the song over Goku's eating noises, but what he did hear he found enjoyable even to the point of tapping his foot under the table. "Don't talk with your mouth full Kakarot," Vegeta had said with a slightly less stuffed mouth. Bulma and Chi-Chi were both blushing deeply as they felt the eyes of people staring in their direction, both grumbling under their breath that they were embarrassed with both Saiya-jin's. It was their curse, an extremely high metabolism that demanded a mass consumption of food.
Wherever they ate they always had to pay a high bill, which was probably why they didn't go out to eat all that much. "And yes she was quite good. It's nice to know that not every voice sounds like chicken scratch," he said when his mouth was no longer full. High praise from the Prince of Saiya-jin's indeed.

Lulu made it to the bar without a hitch and took a seat near a table that was close to what appeared to be two families. One man was shoveling food into his mouth like he was starving but she couldn't see how that could be possible, he already had mountains of dishes stacked around him that were empty. The other man was eating with zest as well but at least he was eating less grotesquely. To the pink haired girl it was rather amusing and she giggled before turning her attention away when the bartender came back with her water, "Here you go Lu," he set the glass in front of her and she took it drinking it quickly feeling much better now that her throat wasn't so dry. She'd have to get to work here soon and she was pretty sure that those families were part of her tables.
Sure enough when the other waitress came over to her to get relieved she pointed them out. "Watch out for them they order a lot, I know you can carry quite a bit but...be careful..."she said with slightly wide eyes. Lulu shrugged her shoulders "I think I'll be ok, I'm sure I've had worse" she said cheerfully and straightened her clothes before heading their way. She smiled at both ladies present first and then their husbands before slightly bowing, "Hello, my name is Lulu and I'll be taking over as your server for the night. Can I get you anything else?" she asked curiously and roamed her eyes over the table. She wasn't sure how much more these men could put away but she guessed it was a lot. She wondered vaguely if they'd like her performance but felt it would be arrogant to ask them.

Goku looked at Vegeta, then at Chi-Chi. He sighed, wiping off his face. He was still wearing his usual orange clothing, though Chi-Chi didn't approve. However, after this gathering and meal, he had to train. There is not much time before another attack occurs, and after all, Kibito Kai warned him of whatever was to come. Was Broly it? No, Kibito Kai sounded far more worried than just The Legendary Super Saiyan, and that was saying something!
He smiled his worrying away when the waitress came, he pink hair bobbing about. She was indeed pretty, but all Goku thought was, 'Oooo...More food!!!' "I'm thinking pie....or cake...or cheesecake..hmm..maybe all of them!" Goku grinned, noticing who the woman was. "Say...you sang just now, right? Cause if so, that was great singing!"

The Saiya-jin prince finished off the last plate of food before him, setting it down on top of the 3 foot stack of dishes at his side and wiped his mouth and hands on his napkin, taking no notice of the waitress who came over and introduced herself. "You'll have to excuse our husbands Lulu. They're total pigs when it comes to eating." Bulma said, trying hard to hide her embarrassment. If she hadn't grown up knowing Goku she probably wouldn't even be able to sit at the same table. After sighing she continued to eat her meal like a well mannered person would.
At Goku's words Vegeta shot him an angry glance. "I know you can't help being a moron Kakarot, but can you not even pay attention to something other than food? I swear other than eating and training your head is completely empty. And the thought of you eating dessert has made me suddenly not hungry for any." Rolling his eyes he looked up at Lulu, eying the waitress carefully without letting her catch on he was doing so. It was his habit to study people, an old warriors trait, and came as natural as breathing. "I would have enjoyed your song if I could hear it over Kakarot's eating. It is nice to know that at least someone on this planet can sing."
Under the table Bulma kicked him in the shin. It didn't hurt of course, but it did very much annoy Vegeta. "What was that for woman?" Bulma grit her teeth and kicked him again, "Are you really going to talk like that in front of your wife Vegeta?" His eyes narrowed and he glared at Bulma, "What you expect me to not be honest just because you're here?" The woman scoffed and got up and stormed toward the bathroom, leaving Vegeta shaking his head. "She is so stubborn."

Lulu smiled brightly as the man started to order dessert like crazy, he sure could eat. A woman with pretty blue hair and eyes spoke up next asking her excuse their husbands for eating like pigs and Lulu smiled at her, "It's really no problem ma'am, it doesn't bother me on bit" she assured her before the man in orange caught her attention again. It seemed he'd recognized her from the stage and his compliment made her blush quickly, he had liked her singing. "T-Thank you sir, it was me" she said bowing slightly to him before straightening up and looking to the other man. She was about to ask him what'd he'd like when he suddenly spoke up in disgust about his companions eating habits.
The other man was rolling his eyes and she doubted he'd even acknowledged her presence until he spoke up. She flushed again as she was once again complimented and gave him a slight bow as well but it seemed whatever he had said had offended his wife. They had a quick argument and Lulu's heart sank, she hadn't meant to cause a fight, well it hadn't really been her fault but she still felt responsible. Don't feel bad Lulu, human women can be touchy. Her voice was reassuring and she barely kept herself from nodding, instead decided an apology was in slight need anyways. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause a fight" she said quickly and then jotted down what the man in orange had ordered. "I'll just go get what you wanted, excuse me" she said politely and headed away.
As she was passing by another table pushed farther back a hand jammed out to grab her thin wrist and jerked her into the shadowy booth. She was instantly in the grubby lap of some man and his three friends were leering at her. "We saw you singin tonight, got quite the mouth on you huh?" he asked and cupped her chin squeezing so that her mouth was forced open. She winced and jerked back surprising him with the strength behind it, "Excuse me but this is inappropriate behavior, I must ask you nicely to let me go" she said tugging her wrist to try and work it from his grasp. The man didn't seem particularly pleased and pulled hard on her arm making her yelp and slam across his lap.
She struggled for a moment to rise and her nostrils were overwhelmed, these men stunk. A hand was creeping along her thigh and as soon as it hit the edge of her skirt rage hit like a white hot poker. The headache hit next and she groaned, the men of course mistook it for the wrong thing and dared touch her further. Lulu was gone replaced by an extremely pissed Lucy. The spit fire jerked her head back as hard as she could and slammed it into her offenders jaw. Her knee followed it slamming into his ribs as hard as she could muster and she was successful even though she was so close. The cracking that she heard from both ribs and jaw was unmistakable, she had broken something. The grin that overtook her face was anything but pleasant and the warmth in the blue eyes was gone replaced by cold anger. However the sound of footsteps behind her shocked her greatly as well as the man dumping her onto the floor.
The brief flash of Lucy was gone and Lulu was back looking dazed and confused. The man she'd head butted was howling in agony and had a hand cradled to the jaw that looked rather warped now. Wide blue eyes looked him over and somehow she just had a feeling that she had done it. She felt unable to move on the floor as the other three stared her down, she wasn't sure if they planned on getting up or if they were just going to sit there until she left. Instead of waiting she tried to struggle to her feet to move away. She really didn't want to lose this job like she had so many others when she'd blacked out. "Oh no...I did it again" she mumbled.

Goku smiled at the pink-headed girl. However, though Goku's mind was indeed innocent, Chi-Chi thought other wise. "Goku!!" She smacked his face, which stung worse than most punches thrown at him. "Ouch, Chi-Chi...But what did I do?" "You know what you did!" You were eyeing her!" She said this after Lulu left. "I don't know what you mean....I'm sorry, Chi-Chi..."
Before Chi-Chi could lecture again, Goku turned to the commotion. He noticed all the goon-looking guys hurt by one small girl. "Wow...that girl is pretty strong!" He smiled, for he always liked strong fighters.

The Saiya-jin prince grumbled to himself, almost not hearing the apology that was given. "I swear that woman is more stubborn that I am sometimes. Try to give someone a compliment and she blows up about it! Human women, honestly!" With a sigh he leaned back and crossed his arms over his chest. "Don't worry about it. She's been picking fights all day. It's beginning to push even my Saiya-jin limits." A smirk played at the corner of his lip as he said that.
Bulma was still in the bathroom, venting no doubt and she completely missed the scene unfolding at the nearby table. Though to all other patrons the events that unfolded between the waitress and the man happened within moments, to Vegeta and Goku things were actually moving at a snails pace due to their training. The woman completely decimated the fragile human with what seemed no effort, which lead him to believe that she herself was not entirely human. Her change in personality suggested there was also something more to her.
At the point where the waitress was knocked down he stood and the chair he sat upon slid a few feet backward, almost into another table, scraping over the floor loudly. Disgusted with Goku's eating and cross about Bulma's irrational anger, it was fair to say that Vegeta was in a foul mood already, and more than anxious to knock someone into tomorrow. He walked around the table and headed right for the scene before it got any worse as it was sure to. As Lulu scurried away the men got up and started to advance on her.
"Excuse me," he said while cracking his knuckles, which got their attention, "I suggest you take your pathetic friend to a hospital before you all need medical attention." The three of them glared at Vegeta, obviously not willing to take that from him. "You think we're going to take that from you shorty? I bet you think you're a real tough guy don't you?" With his heightened sense of smell, the Saiya-jin prince had caught their foul odor long before arriving and at this close proximity it was more disgusting than Goku's eating habits. "Unless you leave now you'll find out just how tough I am."
The three men rushed Vegeta all at once, one of them leaped into the air in an attempt to knock him down with his weight. Again to the Saiya-jin it was all happening in super slow motion. To the surrounding patrons the events that ensued seemed impossible, they were all gasping in astonishment in fact, as Vegeta took down all three attackers without seeming to move at all. They were all writhing in pain, groaning on the floor, struggling not to cough up blood. Dusting his hands off Vegeta turned back and after grabbing his chair he sat down again and smiled, suddenly feeling much better.
Shortly after all the commotion Bulma came out of the bathroom and stepped over the bodies on the floor, not having to even guess who was responsible. She said she didn't want to know what happened and just went back to eating her meal, eying Vegeta with that 'now now' look. He simply leaned back in his chair and chuckled to himself.

A loud scraping made her freeze on the floor and her blue eyes jumped to the man as his chair slid back away from him. It appeared as though the man was annoyed enough to help her out and she wasn't about to complain about it at all, while he stepped forward she moved backwards raising herself to her feet. She stood by their table and dusted off her skirt watching as the men surrounded the dark haired patron, this was not going to end well for him she feared. Her fears were however put to rest when quicker than anyone could really watch he took all three down and left them in a groaning and bloody mess on the floor. She had seen it, somehow her eyes had been able to pick up his movements and she was astonished.
No one she knew could move that fast and she glanced over at his companion quickly, could he do that as well? For all she knew they all could and she bit her lip. She was causing trouble yet again and she had a feeling that her boss wasn't going to be able to overlook it this time. The young girl looked over to see her Manager in deep debate with him and she felt her blood run cold. If she lost this job...she should have just...well she didn't even remember hurting any of them. She rushed over to the bar as a few of the men moved to pick up the ones on the floor and move them outside. Only to get an exhausted look from the owner and a disapproving one from the manager, her mouth opened quickly, "Please I didn't mean it I know it's happened a couple of time but I promi-" she was cut off by the look they were giving her.
The owner settled a hand on her shoulder, "Lulu...we know you don't mean it but we can't have this happening all the time. This is the tenth time this month and usually it's just you that does it. This time that man was here but next time...we can't keep paying for this" he said sternly and she hung her head. "I know" she muttered miserably, she couldn't even remember the last times this had happened, sure she had woken up after them but she hadn't actually seen them happen. How could it have been her doing it? She wasn't a fighter! She tugged the apron from her waist and handed it to the regretful looking own, the manager on the other hand had a smug look on his face probably from knowing he had some power. "I'll be all right, thanks for keeping me as long as you did" she said and bowed slightly making the owner look uncomfortable. How could the girl be so nice when she was getting fired?
She turned and headed past the family she had been serving and stopped by them briefly on her way to the door. "I wanted to thank you for helping me, and it was a pleasure serving you. Another of the girls will take care of you" she said and gave them a half smile. She doubted they'd heard her getting fired and her pride wouldn't let her tell them, they didn't need to know anyways. She started off towards the door and swung it open examining the weather, at least that was nice. She'd need to get started on walking if she was going to find another place to work today, she might even have to jump towns again if those thugs decided to take things personal. She doubted they'd go after the one who'd beat them up, she was of course the logical target. Her mind was calculating the probability of such a thing and she leaned against the wall next to the door lost in thought. She had rotten luck.

Goku watched as Vegeta stood up for the Lulu girl. He frowned as he got up, standing next to Vegeta. "Vegeta, you can't just go around beating people up. Though they might have deserved it." Goku watched as Lulu was lectured and eventually fired. He frowned at this, watching her leave. "Vegeta, do me a favor. Go get her back in her...I...umm..got a job to give her back."
Before Vegeta could object, Goku walked to the manager that fired her. "Hey, you know it wasn't her fault, right? Umm..I mean..those guys did grab her. I mean, that's inappropiate behavior to your workers, yes? Give her a chance again? It's not like she was attacking for no reason. It was self-defense."

Being all content and a little bit happy for once in a long while seemed to be a negative thing for Vegeta, as when at last he was, Goku opened his mouth to protest the recent actions that took place. Looking up at Goku his fists started clenching as his annoyance grew. "You can't tell me what to do Kakarot! I can hit anyone I damn well please, deserving or not." That was obviously his way of saying "shut up or I'll hit you too" but there was no doubt it went over Goku's head. No longer was Vegeta going to concern himself with the petty squabbles of the waitress and her customers. However, it seemed that Goku had taken it upon himself to get Vegeta involved.
He was beyond infuriated as Goku told him again what to do and before Vegeta could clean his clock he was already across the room talking to the people who had fired their waitress. Bulma gave him a stern look, to which he grumbled and clenched his fists even tighter. Moody again and miserable as usual, he stormed away and walked outside, looking one way then the other before spotting the distraught waitress.
"Excuse me," he said with obvious fury in his voice, not caring if he broke her train of thought, "The garbage disposal, Kakarot, is trying to get you your job back. I'm really starting to regret going out this evening. "But we never get to go out Vegeta." Honestly I don't know why I listen to anyone. He sighed heavily and shook his head. "I suggest you go back inside. Once Kakarot sets his simple mind to something he usually pursues it to the end. And if you don't go back in and I do he'll pester me and then I'd have to hit him, which would get me scolded again.."

An infuriated excuse me punctured the young womans thoughts and she turned her head quickly to see the man that had helped save her back there. She wondered what exactly he was doing out here and pushed herself away from the wall turning towards him with a curious expression clear on her face. Before he went off on his own little tangent he'd told her that the other man, Kakarot, was trying to get her job back for her. Gratitude soothed her and she cleared her throat nervously but that nervousness melted into a gentle smile and she nodded. "I really appreciate it" she said quickly and without thinking gave the stranger a quick hug. She'd do the same for the other even if he didn't managed to get her job back for her, they were being kind even though they didn't know her.
She was afraid he'd be furious and ducked inside quickly headed over to where Kakarot as he'd been called was talking to her manager. She could already hear the conversation before she was even close, "The fact is that this happens all the time and over little things" the manager was saying while the owner rubbed a wide hand along his chin obviously thinking. "She's costing us more than she's bringing in" he said tapping his pen against the clip board. The owner sighed and rested a hand on the agitated managers shoulder, "Enough. She's a great singer and a good kid but you don't understand, when she flips a switch she's not that" he warned shaking his head. He'd never quite understood the girl but he wasn't about to call her a freak or anything of the kind.
Lulu had arrived about this time and elicited an uncomfortable silence from both men present. She placed a hand on Kakarot's forearm with a small smile, "Please, I appreciate it but they're right...maybe I don't belong here" she said softly. Her smile was reassuring as though it were the man who was in trouble and not she herself, a heaving sigh came from the owner and he shook his head. She was making this so hard. She grabbed the mans arm and steered him back towards his family and their table. "Honestly this happens all the time...for some reason" she said with slight confusion and a light laugh, "Well not exactly this since no one usually helps me, besides its not like I have to worry about moving" she added.

Goku sighed softly. He didn't think that was too fair. There had to be a way for this girl to keep a job, whether this one or another. He thought while stratching his head full of spikey hair. Then he had an idea. "Well...I hope you change you mind...." Vegeta probably looked surprised by Goku giving up or not, but either way, Goku wouldn't notice.
Instead, he walked to Bulma. "Bulma...Isn't there an open job at the Capsule Corp? Cause if so, I'm sure a girl with these skills and trenght will be perfect there!"

Vegeta just grumbled and dismissed Lulu's appreciative thanks, not really in the mood for it. 'Damn you Kakarot. I can't believe you had me come out here! I am so going to wipe that goofy smile off your face by slamming it through a few buildings, so help me!' Lost in thought with both fists clenched and veins on his forehead pulsing madly, he was caught completely off guard by the feeling of someone pressing their body to his. He snapped out of his thoughts and raised his, holding them out in front and slightly to the sides of his body. His jaw was hanging loosely down and his eyes were wide in shock and a soft, "uh," escaped his throat several times, sounding like he'd had the wind knocked out of him.
The arms that were around him were removed as quickly as they were put there and the waitress quickly disappeared into the building from whence they both came, leaving Vegeta standing there with his shocked expression. Someone in the street passed by and laughed at the Saiya-jin Prince as he was regaining his composure. In no mood to hear some idiot laughing at his expense, Vegeta hit the passerby in the gut and sent him a few feet into the air. The man passed out from pain, but not before his arms went around his gut as he keeled over in pain. "I am so done with this!" he said while clenching his fists tightly again.
With no effort he took to the air, arms crossed over his chest, rising up to the heights of the tallest buildings and headed toward home. The wind rushed through his hair and all around his body, the coolness suddenly surrounding him seeming to ease his frustration some. He'd explain things to Bulma, even if she didn't understand. Though, it's not like this is the first time he's just taken off without word so she might not even be that mad with him.
